Local Architects Start Construction of New NCAA Facility | Business Observer

Fawley Bryant Architecture in Sarasota has begun construction of an 84,000-square-foot baseball stadium complex designed for Binghamton University in New York.

The $ 60 million project will include expansion of the complex, including new stadium seats, VIP lounges and press boxes, outfielders, clubhouses, and indoor training facilities. Construction is expected to be completed by February 2022. The architect works at Lakewood Ranch’s Energy Court Center.

This effort expands Foley Bryant’s sports portfolio, including collaborations with the Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Miami Marlins, Gatorade, Under Armor, Proble Riding, IMG Academy and Prince Tennis.

“This stadium complex will be one of the best college baseball facilities in the country, which positions Binghamton as the best and best,” said Patrick Elliott, athletic director at Binghamton University, in a release. “We thank the Fawley Bryant staff for their hard work and look forward to training and competing with coaches and student athletes at these facilities.”

The project will include new fan seats, locker rooms, indoor batting cages, coach offices, study spaces and athletic training rooms. Indoor training facilities include a four-story ceiling turf baseball infield.

New stadium seats and an elevated concourse will also be added, with a 7,500-square-foot VIP lounge and a press box structure located behind the home plate. The construction company is also building locker rooms with custom lockers, team lounges, nutrition, high intensity interval training (HIIT) areas, designated coach locker rooms, and exercise training facilities with hydrotherapy treatment pools.
